It’s Friday and your body knows it… But has your mind allowed it?

Full desk or clouded vision?

Many leaders confuse "constant availability" with productivity. But the reality is assertive: exhaustion is the ultimate generator of bias.

A dirty mirror doesn’t reflect reality; it distorts it. When your vision is clouded by the noise of the working week, your decisions risk losing their objectivity, becoming purely reactive.

It is 5:00 PM on a Friday and, in my role as your mirror of clarity, I would like to invite you to consider these suggestions so that by Monday, your vision is impeccable:

  • I suggest you try to let go of pending tasks: The problems won’t disappear, but your sharpness to solve them certainly depletes. I suggest you leave them at your desk now, and on Monday, you will view them with an analytical capacity that, quite frankly, has already completed its cycle for today.

  • I suggest you decide what is right for your recovery: Attempting to disconnect is not a luxury; it is a professional requirement to maintain the quality of your judgement. I suggest you silence the guilt and understand that rest is your most profitable investment for next week’s success.

  • I suggest you prioritise what sustains you: That conversation with friends, quality time with your family, or simply a moment of stillness. I suggest you choose to be fully present, as these are the spaces that recharge the energy that Monday will inevitably demand of you.

  • I suggest you treat yourself to what you’ve been postponing: That glass of wine or that particular dinner. Your working day ends here; it is time to allow your mind to register that the work is complete.

My purpose is to help you see with clarity. At this hour on a Friday, the sharpest vision is the one that reminds you: you must disconnect to reconnect.

On Monday, we will handle whatever is necessary with renewed energy. For now, I suggest you clean the glass and enjoy everything that exists outside the office.

Does the daily noise feel like it’s clouding your decisions? It’s Friday and you know it, but... do your body and mind know it too?

I help leaders regain sharpness and objectivity in their management. 👇
